TWmail is brand new and helps you manage your trading communications. It works just like any other mail client except it is within the TIMBERWeb eMarket for additional security. You need to be at least Standard Trading Membership to use TWmail effectively but you can send one free message as a Registered member and 5 TWmails (inc replies) as an Economy Trading member to enable you to evaluate this new system.

Find a member in the directories or from the Marketplace, click the yellow envelope and send your message. The recipient will be advised by traditional email that they have new TWmail messages and in one click they will be in their secure inbox reading your message.

Your inbox will also include linked alerts to offers and replies you have received on the Marketplace providing a focal point for your TIMBERWeb trading activity.

If you are at least Standard Plus Trading membership with access to the brand new Contact CRM system the TWmailbox on each contact will show only messages sent to and from that contact. (You can't do that on Outlook in one click !).

There are some restrictions on usage at the lower membership levels.

Why should we not use normal email ?

A normal email sent on the public Internet is not secure and can be read by anyone en-route. Furthermore it is difficult to prove if an email has been delivered in the event of a denial when there is a dispute. In TWmail our system time stamps when an email has been sent received and read. It does not pass on the public Internet, it is secure on our site which is verisign encrypted between your PC and our server both of which are password protected. Finally if you do use normal email to communicate we cannot help you in the event of a dispute. We will not become involved in any disputes where communications in the deal have been made outside TIMBERWeb in accordance with our terms and conditions.
